Now that we're well passed the holiday season, retailers are getting a little more creative when it comes to moving merchandise. In the case of the Pixel 2 /2 XL, Google is offering an interesting incentive for anyone looking to buy the phone and maybe even try out their Project Fi while they're at it.
Anyone who buys the phone between Feb 15th and Feb 28th is eligible to receive an $80 Project Fi bill credit, essentially giving you the first month for free. That roughly translates to 6GB of data during the month, which is a good amount for most folks. You'll have 30 days to activate...

OPINION: IDC shared two interesting smartphone numbers this week: Google Pixel and Essential Phone shipments for 2017. The research firm typically shares shipments for the top five smartphone makers, but interest around these two companies was apparently high enough to warrant a breakout by research director Francisco Jeronimo more than 10 days after IDC's most recent report .

  • Some “loyal” Nexus owners can save 20% on the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL

9 monthes ago - By Phandroid

Yesterday we saw a deal from Woot! where you could save a few bucks and get a refurbished Pixel 2 for $530 or Pixel 2 XL for $580. Today, it seems that Google is beginning to help recognize those loyal Nexus owners, as the company has started sending emails offering 20% off of either device.
This 20% savings brings the standard Pixel 2 down to around $520, while the Pixel 2 XL will go for $680. This may not seem like much, but considering how rare it is to save money on Pixel devices directly from Google, this may be the best time to jump on the train.
It seems that Google may be...
