Motorola's Moto X4 is coming to Google's Project Fi network, and it's bringing Android One along with it.
On Wednesday, Google announced that Motorola's latest smartphone will work with its cellular MVNO service , which piggybacks off the networks run by T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular in the US. As a result, the Moto X4 will be the first smartphone that isn't part of Google's own Nexus or Pixel family devices to support Project Fi.
The company also brings a relatively affordable option to the network; ever since Google stopped selling the older and more affordable Nexus 6P and...

Along with announcing a new Android One variant of the Moto X4, Google has also now announced the availability of a trade-in program for Project Fi. In short, if you own a Nexus device and would now like to trade it in and use its value as a part payment against a new phone from Project Fi you now can.

Project Fi customers now have access to a cheaper device as the only phones available until recently that were compatible on Fi were the Google Pixel and Pixel XL.

Google has announced that the Moto X4 is joining the Project Fi family, the company's US-only wireless carrier service. This move marks the first time that Google has reached out to its Android partners to source a device for its carrier. And it comes after a lot of chatter on Project Fi's subreddit, where many customers are left with frustratingly few choices after their Google Nexus 5X and Google Nexus 6P phones stop working - a frighteningly frequent occurrence. Now, the Moto X4 is now available for pre-order and comes in at the low-ish end in terms of pricing: $399. For those who are...
