• Disney names its streaming service Disney+; the Netflix competitior will launch late next year

    In August of 2017, Disney announced that it would take on Netflix and offer streamed video content through a mobile app. Today, we've learned a little more about this streaming video app. It will be called Disney+; the name was revealed by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger, who mentioned it yesterday during a live audio conference call for the firm's fiscal fourth quarter and full year fiscal 2018 earnings.
